Terms of Use
Effective October 1, 2026 · Last updated October 1, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and the Twine team ("we", "us") for using the Twine app ("Twine"). By creating an account or using Twine, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Twine.
1. Who can use Twine
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age for digital consent where you live, if higher) and able to agree to these terms. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity on your account.
2. Your content
You own the photos, notes and other content you add to Twine. You give us a limited license to store, process and display that content only so we can run Twine for you and your partner — for example, to show your photos to your partner once you've both posted. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups for a short time.
You agree that the content you add:
- is yours to share, and doesn't break anyone's rights or the law;
- includes only people who are happy to be photographed and shared with your partner;
- isn't illegal, abusive, or sexual content involving minors — which we report to the authorities.
3. You and your partner
Twine is shared between two connected accounts. Your partner can see what you add to your shared dates and ideas, and either of you can delete a shared date, which removes it for both of you. Only connect with someone you trust. If you need help with someone you've connected with, contact us.
4. Using Twine fairly
Please don't misuse Twine — for example, by trying to access another person's account or data, getting around the photo lock, interfering with or overloading the service, reverse-engineering it beyond what the law allows, or using it to harass anyone. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
5. Changes to Twine
Twine is new and will change. We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering Twine. If we shut it down, we'll give reasonable notice and a way to download your photos where we can.
6. Ending your account
You can stop using Twine and ask us to delete your account at any time — see how to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
7. Disclaimers
Twine is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it running and your memories safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, or that content will never be lost. Keep your own copies of photos that matter to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost data, arising from your use of Twine, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Twine in the 12 months before it (if any). Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
9. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Twine or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and isn't responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of Twine must also follow the App Store's Usage Rules. If these terms conflict with Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, these terms apply only where they give you more protection.
10. General
If we update these terms, we'll change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
